• Small knots or bumps in the threads, which occur when broken threads are joined during weaving.

• Slightly uneven threads connecting the border to the body of the saree.

• Slubs — residual threads that form tiny, bundled knots.

• Minute gaps in and around motifs.

• Dye bleeding from the body onto the pallu, which is common in powerloom sarees.

• Loose threads in Bandhani sarees resulting from the traditional tying and dyeing process.
